Latent Studies is a writing series by filmmaker, photographer, educator, and writer Patricia Silva, launched in March 2024. This project includes an archive of 10+ years of writing on photography and film through a queer nonbinary lens (2009-2019), as well as new writing produced from new and brighter corners of that existing criteria.

For the price of an almond latté every month, your subscription supports the development of new writing and visual stories, which requires thorough research, sometimes trips, and the collaboration of multiple librarians, all before I even sit down to write. And then, the pictures.
